Long time no post. I really need to keep this more up to date.
Anyways, I signed up for the outline marathon over at FM, and it started on Monday. I outlined 30 scenes on Monday and decided to work on it some more tonight. I got 13 more scenes done. I'm writing a few sentences or so for each scene, it's nothing overly detailed. And some are not in order, but I can arrange them later when I get more done. After I finish this stage up I can put together a more detailed outline, complete with world building and a time line. This is for my SF idea, so I want to be as thorough as possible with planning things out. I might even go pick up Orson Scot Card's book on writing SF from the library.
I also signed up for March madness at FM. That starts on the 24th and runs though the 30th. Right now I picked the first level, which is 1k words a day (and unlike the ultra marathon only actual writing counts, so no blog posts or whatever work). Part of me wants to kick it up a notch and go for the next level which is 2k so I can aim higher then my regular daily word count. But my normal daily has some LJ and forum posts in it. But it might be fun to have a higher goal set for March madness. Either way I still have a little while to decide.
I'm tempted to go with my SF idea for madness, but that's not going to give me enough time to plan stuff. And I really want to finish the first draft of my romance before I start another project (well writing stage anyways). I don't want to leave one thing halfway through one state and wander onto something else. I want to try and keep some discipline in my writing habits.
And I now have 110,438 words for the ultra marathon. Because I'm cool like that XD.
OH, and Happy Pi Day to you all out there!
And next week spring starts. Banzai!
